Telangana State Pollution Control Board Amendment and inspection mandates

Telangana State Pollution Control Board on 6 May, 2019 as a part of the initiative to ease the way of doing business, amends the central inspection framework for surprise inspections to limit the scope of inspection to the Checklist prescribed in the Circular. Further such surprise inspection can be carried out only with the permission of the HOD of the PCB.

Central Motor Vehicles (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 2019

The Central Motor Vehicles (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 2019, has been notified on 21 June 2019. The Changes brought about are: (i) At the time of renewal of Driving License, a certificate in Form 5A is also needed to be submitted – if renewal is for a licence to drive a heavy goods vehicle and a heavy passenger motor vehicle (ii) In the scope of syllabus for MEDIUM AND HEAVY VEHICLES DRIVING THEORY-II’, Stretch with at least one speed breaker and at least one left or right turn, shall be used for testing.

CBIC (ICEGATE) E-payment portal active from 1st July, 2019

Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has issued a circular dated 24th June, 2019 regarding Implementation of CBIC (ICEGATE) E-payment portal from 1st July, 2019. Revised procedure for making e-payment of Central Excise and Service Tax arrears under the new CBIC-GST Integrated portal has been notified.
